These rules are intended to support safe and enjoyable operations for the pilots and residents of Wexford Landing:
- Users of Wexford Landing runway are responsible for verifying the runway is safely usable at the specific point in time they intend to use. Sustained periods of rain or even microbursts with short heavy rainfall can cause the runway to be unusable from a safety perspective.
- Wexford Landing is a private airport. Use of the runway is restricted to qualified Wexford Landing property owners and Guests. The inviting HOA Member is responsible for the Guest’s safe use of airfield.
- All operations are to be conducted according to FAA standard practices. NORMAL TRAFFIC PATTERN is 1000 ft Above Airfield Elevation (1250’ MSL) Left Hand Patterns. Optional slow aircraft pattern is 350’ above airfield elevation (600 FT MSL) Left Hand Patterns. Unicom 122.9 is used to announce pattern location and other intent of operations. For noise abatement purposes, patterns should respect our neighbors according to FAA standards.
- No AEROBATIC maneuvers allowed within the airport pattern. No unannounced low passes and no flying over residences on take-off and landings.
- Visiting Aircraft should park on Burkelo Taxiway between airstrip and Residential Housing on Burkelo Road unless the HOA Member responsible for the Guest has available parking space on their lot.
Please call Leonard Self to request permission to land if you have not been invited by a HOA member. Note that airpark owner practices to support the safety of residents and pilots are provided in a separate document for HOA Member use when operating within Wexford Landing airpark.
